At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 26, Deputy Aigul Akhmedova voiced alarming information about the forgery of passports and driver's licenses of Kyrgyzstan in Russia. According to her, she has received inquiries from the Russian Federation stating that fake documents are being produced in that country, which are then sold to citizens of third countries.

She noted that such foreigners may commit offenses, including traffic accidents, resulting in a false perception that Kyrgyz citizens are to blame.

This statement was responded to by Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubaeva, who pointed out that these crimes occur on the territory of Russia, and therefore Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies do not have the ability to intervene in this situation.

“Our legislation prohibits interference in the legal systems of other countries. This is a type of fraud. Similar incidents are recorded not only in Russia but also in France and other countries. Responsibility for such actions will be determined by the laws of the country where the crime was committed,” Konkubaeva explained.

Deputy Akhmedova emphasized that such situations damage the reputation of Kyrgyzstan.

The Deputy Attorney General also added that earlier representatives of the "Unaa" enterprise claimed that the forgery of Kyrgyz passports and driver's licenses is impossible, as all security measures are in place. “If you have specific evidence, please provide it to us for analysis,” she concluded.
