The State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Ministry of Finance, is initiating financing for six hydropower plants and one solar power plant. This became known from the Ministry of Finance's announcements.
The total investment in these projects amounts to 21.6 billion soms. The installed capacity of the new facilities will reach 148.3 MW, and the expected annual electricity generation will be 629.7 million kWh.
According to the department's information, the implementation of these initiatives will reduce the current electricity deficit in the country by approximately 16% and enhance the reliability of the national energy system.
These projects are being carried out in accordance with the approved state investment strategy. The Ministry of Finance will handle macro-financial coordination and the creation of a resource base, while the Development Bank will act as the operator of long-term project financing.
