The deputy believes that there are attempts to discredit him
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Erlan Kokulov commented on the incident related to the issuance of a traffic violation protocol when traffic police recorded his actions on video.
Kokulov noted that some individuals are trying to discredit him.
According to him, the violation occurred at 7:00 PM, but the traffic police arrived at his home only at 11:00 PM. He added that, despite the search that was conducted, such actions against him should not take place according to the Constitution.
A representative of the traffic police stated that the complaint from the deputy is under review, and an official response will be provided. To this, Kokulov clarified that the situation pertains to another issue.
The official responded that the investigation is ongoing.
"Our officers arrived in response to a signal from local residents. The investigation is currently in process, and we will report the results," he said.
The deputy also inquired whether the Instagram accounts where the video featuring him was posted are official pages of the agency. The official denied this information.
"Why are you violating my constitutional rights and personal life by making a mockery of me on the internet? Why did your officers not have body cameras when they came to me? One of them, out of uniform, issued the protocol. If you do not follow the law yourselves and seek hype by making a mockery of a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh and the son of the Kyrgyz people, how can you conduct driving tests?" Kokulov expressed his outrage.
