In Bishkek, they want to change the payment system for municipal parking lots and spaces.

The Bishkek City Hall has developed a draft resolution of the Bishkek City Council titled "On the Issues of Regulating the Activities of Municipal Parking Lots and Stands in the City of Bishkek." The main goal of the changes is to organize the parking space, reduce the load on the road network, and create more comfortable conditions for the operation of urban transport.

Among the proposed measures:

approval of new rules for municipal parking lots and stands;
determination of parking fees;
introduction of a separate tariff for parking lots with an automated time accounting system (hourly payment).

For parking lots equipped with automated systems, the following tariffs are proposed:

from 30 to 50 soms for the first two hours;
20 soms for each subsequent hour.

The implementation of the automated system is expected to increase management efficiency, reduce the cases of prolonged occupation of parking spaces in popular areas, and create conditions for the phased modernization of parking infrastructure.
