According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, in 2026, the republic will allocate budget funds for the construction of 36 educational institutions in major cities of Kyrgyzstan. This decision is driven by the high demand for school places due to internal migration.

It is planned that 20 new schools will be established in Bishkek, 10 educational institutions will be built in Osh, and 6 in Manas.

Additionally, as part of the partnership with the Saudi Development Fund, the construction of five schools and seven educational buildings in Bishkek, as well as two educational institutions in the Chui region, is planned.

The ministry noted that the construction of social facilities that were started earlier will also be completed.

According to data from the Cabinet, in 2025, 76 new schools were built in the country, and 41 educational institutions underwent major repairs.

Currently, there are 2,394 schools operating in Kyrgyzstan, where approximately 1.5 million children are studying.
