The award ceremony took place in Berlin as part of the international tourism exhibition ITB Berlin 2026.
The Travelife Certified certification confirms that the organization meets international standards in the field of sustainable and responsible tourism. To obtain this certification, it is necessary to fulfill more than 200 criteria covering aspects such as environmental responsibility, support for local communities, preservation of cultural heritage, respect for human rights, and the implementation of sustainable practices in the management of tourism services.
Receiving this international certification has become a significant step for the development of sustainable tourism in Karakol and the Issyk-Kul region, as well as a recognition of the efforts of local organizations on the international stage.
This initiative was actively supported by the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Economy and the city administration of Karakol, which promote the development of sustainable tourism at both national and local levels.
