The crisis center shared the tragic story of a woman who became a victim of domestic violence
30-year-old Aizirek, a resident of Kyrgyzstan, shared her story of years of domestic violence suffered at the hands of her husband at the crisis center "Sezim".
She has been married for eight years and is raising four children. Initially, their family life was calm, but soon her husband began to show excessive jealousy, which led to frequent conflicts.
“Every time I left the house or talked to someone, it became a reason for a quarrel. His jealousy manifested in physical violence, and beatings, screams, and constant arguments became part of our life,” Aizirek shares.
According to her, her husband threatened her with violence: “He said, ‘If you leave, I will kill you, I will burn your parents' house.’ These words made me fear not only for myself but also for my children,” she adds.
The woman endured the violence for a long time, hoping that the children would not grow up without a father, but soon realized that the atmosphere of fear negatively affected their development.
“He humiliated me, saying, ‘Where will you go with four children? Who will take you in? Who will help you?’ With each passing time, I lost confidence in myself,” she recounts.
Aizirek admitted that she remained silent for a long time due to feelings of shame and fear of judgment from others, but eventually decided to seek help at the crisis center.
Representatives of the "Sezim" center emphasize that such cases are not uncommon, and many women live in conditions of violence for years without the courage to share their experiences and seek support.
