In Bishkek, in the Maxim Gorky Park, an event was held to protect women's rights, timed to coincide with International Women's Day. More than a hundred activists and citizens gathered to express their ideas and demands. Law enforcement officers monitored the order during the event.

Representatives of the organizing committee noted that obtaining permission for the event this year was very difficult. Initially, the organizers faced a refusal to hold the march on the grounds of ensuring safety, and ultimately they were only allowed to hold a meeting in the park.

Activists emphasize the importance of such events, as cases of violence against women continue to occur.

Among the participants of the event were parliament member Elvira Surabaldiyeva, former ombudsman Atyr Abdrakhmatova, as well as human rights defenders, bloggers, and public figures. Participants highlighted the need to discuss the problem of violence and support for affected women.
