At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, laws concerning the ratification of agreements on a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic and service passports with several countries were approved.

Among the countries with which agreements have been concluded are Egypt, Oman, Slovenia, and the Benelux countries. The process of adopting the documents took place in three readings on March 12.

Presenting the bills, Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev noted that these agreements are intended to strengthen diplomatic ties and simplify the process of official travel between Kyrgyzstan and the mentioned countries.

According to the new agreements, holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports from Kyrgyzstan and the aforementioned countries will be able to enter, exit, and transit without the need for a visa, provided that the duration of stay does not exceed 90 days within a 180-day period.
