Bermet Bekmukhamedova, born in 1998 in Aydarken, Batken region, has become the heroine of our project "Our People Abroad." She is an educator who completed her studies at the Faculty of World Languages at Osh State University.

Currently, Bermet lives in the Moscow region with her husband and two children. In an interview, she shared her experience of living away from her homeland and talked about her plans for the future.

The path to Bermet's current life has been quite interesting. "After graduating from high school, I enrolled in Moscow State Pedagogical University, but soon transferred to Osh. Every summer, I returned to Moscow to work in a restaurant where my future husband's uncle worked. It was he who helped us meet and passed my number to him," she recounts.

Upon returning to Kyrgyzstan, Bermet and her future husband began to communicate. Although circumstances delayed their meeting, fate had it that in September he proposed to her, and on March 8, they got married.

Now the family has settled in the Moscow region. Bermet notes that life here is comfortable, and the neighbors are friendly and responsive. "Despite all the advantages, the longing for my homeland does not leave me. We hope to return to Kyrgyzstan, but for now, we are held back by stability: my husband has Russian citizenship and a reliable job. Being far from home means fewer risks, but my heart longs for my native places," she shares.

Bermet has fully immersed herself in motherhood and is currently not working, as her youngest son is not yet a year old, and her eldest daughter is five. She dedicates most of her time to the development of her children. Her work experience in Germany in 2023, where she had to use the English language, finally convinced her of the importance of language education. "I realized that it is not only necessary to provide comfort for my children but also to give them the knowledge that we lacked in childhood," she says.

Now, Bermet's five-year-old daughter speaks Kyrgyz, Russian, and English fluently. They plan to study German next. The mother teaches her children languages through play: "We sing, dance, and open new horizons. The results appeared just six months after regular classes," Bermet adds.

Bekmukhamedova considers her main goal to raise worthy individuals who will find their place in life and benefit their people. She dreams of opening her own school in Kyrgyzstan, where English will be taught using modern and engaging methods. "In the Moscow region, I do not face difficulties—my husband and his family support me. We often communicate with other Kyrgyzstani people, but the thought of returning to my homeland never leaves me," concludes Bermet.
