The state enterprise "Tulpar" has begun assembling ambulances, as reported by the First Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev at a joint meeting of parliamentary groups.

In response to lawmakers' questions about issues with ambulances in regions with poor roads, where vehicles quickly break down, he noted the feasibility of purchasing Mercedes Sprinters.

Tilek Mamadaliev specified that the assembly of the vehicles is being carried out in partnership with a Chinese company.

“The cost of such ambulances is acceptable, and we are considering the possibility of purchasing domestically produced vehicles. However, it must be acknowledged that the quality of previously purchased vehicles sometimes left much to be desired, which is related to tender procedures. Previously, we purchased Mercedes Sprinters, but hospitals found it difficult to carry out their maintenance due to high costs,” he added.
