By the end of 2025, the protected areas of Kyrgyzstan have shown outstanding results in financial and operational activities, reports the Ministry of Nature.

According to official information, revenues from the tourism sector amounted to 37.7 million soms, which is more than double the figures from the previous year (+19.3 million soms).

Throughout the year, 271,254 people visited the state reserves and parks of Kyrgyzstan, indicating a 24 percent increase in interest in ecological routes.

An important part of this sector remains domestic tourism, which accounted for 250.5 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan, while there is a steady interest from foreigners from CIS countries and far abroad.

The increase in revenue against the backdrop of moderate tourist growth indicates successful optimization of tariff policies and improved administration of fees.

At the same time, to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, control has been strengthened. Over the year, 139 violations were identified, with total damage amounting to 1.1 million soms.

The majority of incidents (70 percent) are related to violations in the field of plant life. Currently, funds have already been recovered in the budget for 78 cases, while the others are at the stage of judicial and administrative review.
