The Eastern bus station in Bishkek now again belongs to the municipality. Previously, the plot was used by the "Drivers' Union" company, which organized parking for vehicles. The city hall reported that this plot was operated without paying rental fees to the city budget.
Currently, the city hall has taken the necessary actions to reclaim the plot. The "Drivers' Union" company provided a guarantee letter in which it commits to dismantle the installed structures within three days.
The process of clearing the area of vehicles is currently underway, and work is being done to dismantle the fences.
In the future, the plot will undergo reconstruction. Plans include a complete adaptation of the Eastern bus station for the operation of taxis and minivans that will serve routes to the cities of Kemin, Kant, and Tokmok.
As part of the project implementation, the area will be paved, outdoor lighting will be installed, road markings will be done, and necessary road signs will be placed.
