Medical professionals expressed the need for training to work with new equipment, but faced pressure from management.
At a joint meeting of two deputy groups, Deputy Bakhridin Shabazov raised the issue of problems with the use of medical equipment at the Kant city hospital.
He reported that the endoscopic equipment, which was delivered to the hospital last year, had not been used for over a year because the doctors had not undergone the necessary training.
Shabazov emphasized that medical workers had requested the sending of specialists for training, but instead of support, they found themselves under pressure from management.
“This is a paradoxical situation: doctors signal problems, and the ministry seems to punish them for it. I urge to stop such practices. We all work for the common good — if doctors identify a problem, it needs to be addressed,” he stated.
In response, Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev said that he had recently taken office and promised to look into the situation.
“We will not allow doctors to be persecuted by the ministry. I will find out who could speak to the doctor in such a manner. I am ready to meet with this doctor personally,” the deputy minister added.
