According to information from Argentina's Foreign Minister Pablo Kirno, the country has officially withdrawn from the World Health Organization. This decision will take effect one year after the notification sent to the organization.

In his account on X, Kirno noted that Argentina will continue to actively cooperate in the field of health through bilateral agreements and regional platforms, while maintaining its sovereignty and the right to make independent decisions in sanitary policy.

It is worth recalling that a year ago, Argentine authorities informed UN Secretary-General António Guterres of their intention to leave the WHO. President Javier Milei explained this decision as a disagreement with the organization's actions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is noteworthy that a similar step was previously taken by the United States.
