In the qualifying round, which took place during the month of Ramadan, about 10,000 participants from different countries expressed their desire to participate, of which 2000 reciters advanced to the finals.

In the finals, 64 participants competed, demonstrating their skills over 8 days.

The competition required participants to fully memorize the Quran and strictly adhere to the rules of Tajweed.

According to the results of the competition, the prize places were distributed as follows:

1st place — Kyrgyzstan

It is worth noting that Mukhamadali Qari Umarov is currently a 4th-year student at the Faculty of the Quran at the Islamic University of Medina.
