Kyrgyzstani Wins Quran Recitation Contest for the Second Time

At the international competition held in the month of Orozо in Jeddah, Mukhamadali Kary Umarov became the winner, receiving a prize of 50,000 Saudi riyals (equivalent to 1,164,000 soms).

The distribution of prize places by country was as follows:

Umarov, who is currently studying in the 4th year at the Islamic University in Medina, expressed gratitude for his victory and noted that it was made possible by the prayers of the Kyrgyz people. He also expressed hope that the Almighty would accept the prayers of all those who observe fasting during Orozо.

The DUMK reminded that Umarov had previously won this competition: in September 2022, he represented Kyrgyzstan in Mecca among 153 participants from 111 countries and received a prize of 250,000 riyals (5.8 million soms at the exchange rate on March 19. - Note from Kaktus.media).
