The Sacred Month of Orozо: the Head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan addressed the citizens

“During fasting, a Muslim should protect their eyes from the forbidden, their ears from the unlawful, and their tongue from lies.”

Today marks the beginning of the sacred month of Orozо, and on this occasion, Abduaziz Zakirov, the head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, addressed his fellow citizens.

He congratulated Muslims, the Kyrgyz people, and all of humanity on the commencement of this blessed month.

According to the Mufti, fasting serves as an important reminder of the Almighty Allah, fostering a sense of responsibility among Muslims. It aids in the purification of the inner world, adornment of the soul, humility, and encouragement towards good deeds, which also enhances piety.

“During fasting, a Muslim protects their eyes from what is forbidden, their ears from unlawful sounds, and their tongue from lies. They must avoid forbidden food, bad actions, and inappropriate places, realizing that Allah sees and knows everything,” Zakirov noted.

The head of the Spiritual Administration also reminded about the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, which states that whoever fasts during Ramadan with sincere faith, performs night prayers, and spends the Night of Decree in worship, will have their previous sins forgiven. He expressed hope that the fasts of all who observe Orozо will be accepted.
