In Kyrgyzstan, the holy month of Rajab has begun, which is considered the first of the "three blessed months." This was announced by the mufti of the republic in his address to Muslims on December 21.

He noted that Rajab, along with Shaaban and Ramadan, holds an important place in Islamic tradition. According to the mufti, during this period, the Prophet Muhammad increased his prayers, and Rajab symbolizes the approach of the month of Ramadan, which is dedicated to fasting and reading the Quran.

The mufti emphasized that Rajab is a time for purification from sins and accumulating good deeds. This year, its celebration coincides with the winter season, when short days and long nights provide excellent opportunities for prayer and worship.

Particular attention is given to the night of Raghaib, which will be celebrated on December 25 this year. Believers are encouraged to spend this night in fasting and prayers, as well as in dua. The mufti reminded of the hadith that mentions five nights when prayers are especially favorably accepted, including the first night of Rajab.

Additionally, he urged Muslims to use this month for spiritual preparation for Ramadan, which will follow in one month—Shaaban. The mufti wished the people peace, harmony, and the opportunity to meet Ramadan in health and well-being.

"May the month of Rajab be blessed, and may the fasts and prayers of the believers be accepted," he concluded in his address.
