The State Corporation Rosatom plans to begin construction of a wind power plant (WPP) with a capacity of 100 megawatts in Kyrgyzstan in 2026. The General Director of JSC "Rosatom Renewable Energy" Grigory Nazarov announced this during his working trip to Dagestan, noting that the design phase has already begun.

“In November, we were granted a condition for connection to the grid, which allows us to start detailed design work. At the moment, the locations for the installation of equipment and connection schemes have already been determined. We have received the necessary parameters and are now proceeding to further develop the project. As for the arrival of construction equipment on site, this is planned for 2026, although the specific month is still unclear,” Nazarov added.

At the end of 2024, Rosatom signed an investment agreement for the implementation of the project to construct a 100-megawatt wind power plant in the Issyk-Kul region. This contract includes not only the construction and operation of the wind power plant but also the sale of electricity that this wind farm will produce.
