President Sadyr Japarov, in his address to the citizens on the occasion of Human Rights Day, celebrated on December 10, emphasized the importance of this day. He reminded that it was on this day in 1948 that the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a foundational document proclaiming the rights and freedoms of individuals as the highest value.

Japarov noted that the principles outlined in the declaration intersect with the traditional values of the Kyrgyz people, who have always held justice, freedom, and human dignity in high regard. By joining the UN in 1992, Kyrgyzstan reaffirmed its commitment to universal human rights, which are now reflected in the Constitution and legislation of the country.

He emphasized that the priorities of state policy remain the protection of citizens' rights, the development of justice and democratic processes, as well as access to education, healthcare, and social services. Special attention is given to equality of opportunities and the protection of vulnerable groups, including women and children.

The President also added that rights and freedoms are not only legal norms but also a culture of mutual respect and personal responsibility. In his opinion, only through the joint efforts of the state, society, and families can a strong and prosperous Kyrgyzstan be created.

In conclusion, the president called on citizens to respect human honor and dignity, the diversity of opinions, and the cultural values of the people. He wished all Kyrgyzstanis health, peace, well-being, and confidence in the future.
