Now, theoretical training will take 384 hours instead of the previous 80. The number of questions for the theoretical exam will also significantly increase from 750 to over 2000, which is related to the new program.
“In the future, there will be about 3000 questions. The practical part of the exam will have to take place in challenging weather conditions — on ice, in the rain, and during the evening. Only after this will trainees be able to obtain their licenses. The training program will be presented within 10 days, and we plan to present the final version by November 20,” Tumanbaev noted.
He also added that there will be no examiners present during the exams. “Staff will only be involved in issuing technical passports and numbers, or sending them by mail,” the official clarified.
In response to questions from the media representatives, Tumanbaev noted that those who already have a driver's license will not have to undergo training again. However, for new drivers, including adults, the training process will take 14 months. It is worth noting that earlier President Sadyr Japarov mentioned that the 14-month training applies only to students in grades 11-12, while for others, the training period will be shorter.
