On November 5, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Boobek Salimzhanov, expressed his opinion on the shortcomings of training in private driving schools during a broadcast on the "Ala-Too 24" television company. He noted that these institutions do not provide comprehensive training, as the course lasts only a few months.

Salimzhanov emphasized that in state driving schools, the training program will be designed for a year and four months. In the first months, students will study the structure of the car, including the features of the drive and types of fuel. "Some don’t even know how to change a tire," he added.

In addition to technical knowledge, a course on driving ethics is also planned to be introduced. "Currently, there are many conflicts on the roads: traffic jams, shouting, and even fights. This is a result of the lack of driving ethics. We understand that the reform will take time, but it is necessary," Salimzhanov explained.

He also pointed out that some private driving schools offer "turnkey" acquisition of driver's licenses, bypassing training and exams in state authorities.

Comparing the situation in Kyrgyzstan with other countries, Salimzhanov cited Finland and Sweden, where the level of fatal traffic accidents is zero.

Kanybek Tumanbaev, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, added that training in state driving schools will take place under various conditions: in winter, summer, at night, and on slippery roads to ensure safety on the roads.
