Starting tomorrow, March 20, the felling of old trees will begin in the "Alamedin-1" microdistrict on Chuy Avenue in Bishkek. This was announced by the city's vice-mayor, Ramiz Aliyev.

According to him, a park and a walking area will be arranged on Auezov Street, from Ankara Street to Jibek Jolu Avenue. As for the trees that are to be cut down, they are no longer viable for life.

“Some claim that the condition of the trees is good. Yes, there may be some healthy specimens among them, but they are no more than 10%. Within two to three days, new large-sized trees will be planted in their place,” Aliyev noted.

In addition, the vice-mayor added that similar work is also planned on Chuy Avenue, where old trees will be replaced with new ones.

“To avoid misunderstandings, I am informing you in advance. The upper part of the trees is already dead, and if we cut off the tops, they will die. Therefore, we will start felling tomorrow. We ask for just one week of patience. After the park construction is completed, you will see the results,” he concluded.
