In the Kyrgyz Republic, starting from April 1, there will be a significant increase in the salaries of healthcare workers — they will rise by 100%. This was announced by the press secretary of the country's president, Askhat Alagozov.
President Sadyr Japarov had previously emphasized that the state is committed to supporting medical workers and increasing their salaries.
Measures are currently being taken to address the shortage of staff in medical institutions and reduce their workload.
The head of state highlighted the importance of doctors in maintaining the health of citizens and instructed to provide them with priority conditions for obtaining housing through the State Mortgage Company to improve their social conditions,” added the press secretary.
He specified that young specialists who have just completed their education at medical universities currently receive 13,581 soms, and starting in April, their salary will increase to 35,248 soms.
Alagozov noted that this is just an example of the minimum wage, and more experienced doctors will earn even more. Additional payments, such as seniority bonuses, will also remain in effect.
Moreover, medical workers willing to work in remote and high-altitude areas can expect an additional salary increase of 30% on average.
As part of the "Doctor's Deposit" program, the state pays doctors 66,000 soms every three months.
Young doctors who choose in-demand specialties such as pediatrics, neonatology, anesthesiology, resuscitation, and general surgery will receive an additional 20,000 soms per month.
It is also worth noting that the salaries of 28,000 nurses in the country will increase from 8,541 to 29,053 soms, which is almost a threefold increase (not including additional payments and bonuses for working in difficult conditions).
Currently, there is a demand for doctors of various specialties in Kyrgyzstan's medical institutions, with a total of 1,596 vacancies open,” clarified Alagozov.
Below is information on which regions and how many doctors are needed.

We also ask you to share this information with acquaintances who have a medical education and are looking for work,” added the press secretary.
