The event dedicated to the spring holiday of Nowruz took place in the Oktobrskiy district of the city.

The festive activities organized by the Bishkek city hall and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Eurasia" were held in the "Yntymak-2" park. The program began with the traditional ritual of "Alas," which includes the fumigation with juniper. The ritual was conducted by Umai Ene (Mother Earth) in a white national costume, blessing the people of Kyrgyzstan with health and good fortune in the new year.

The official part of the celebration was marked by Zhanibek Orozaliev, the head of the Oktobrskiy akimat, who emphasized the importance of preserving cultural traditions and strengthening unity among citizens.

"Nowruz symbolizes the renewal of nature and happiness. This day has become a holiday that unites all peoples," he noted.

Renat Aytimbetov, the deputy director of the regional office, emphasized that the joint celebration of Nowruz embodies strong partnership relations.

"We congratulate everyone on this significant holiday of spring and renewal. For the second year in a row, we are celebrating it together, which demonstrates our friendship and respect for one another. Such events strengthen ties between people and create an atmosphere of unity," he added.

The atmosphere in the "Yntymak-2" park was friendly. Guests were presented with themed yurts: "Eurasia," "Friendship of Peoples," and a craftspeople's yurt. In the "Eurasia" yurt, visitors could learn about the projects and events implemented by the organization in Kyrgyzstan.

The "Friendship of Peoples" yurt showcased cultural performances — dances and songs reflecting the diversity of traditions. In the craftspeople's yurt, guests not only got acquainted with handmade products but also participated in workshops on their creation.

The holiday was also attended by honored guests, including: Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov, head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan Albert Zulkharnayev, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, and other high-ranking officials.

The traditional dish sumolok, symbolizing abundance and rebirth, held a special place in the celebration. Its preparation takes a whole day, and volunteers from "Eurasia" generously treated everyone who wished to try it.

The program of the holiday was diverse: popular ensembles performed, there were workshops for children on drawing themed around Nowruz, and competitions in traditional sports, including belt wrestling and stone throwing.

Thus, the event took place in the spirit of friendship, unity, and respect for cultural traditions, bringing together the residents and guests of the capital.
