In Kyrgyzstan, the emphasis on updating emergency educational institutions has been placed higher than on the construction of a new philharmonic in Manas. This statement was made by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services.

According to the ministry, 27 educational institutions in the Jalal-Abad region are in emergency condition.

“In conditions where a significant number of schools need repairs, the creation of a philharmonic costing 6.8 billion soms seems less of a priority. It is much more important to invest in the construction of more than ten new educational institutions, which meets current requirements,” the official statement notes.

It is also reported that the implementation of the philharmonic project has been temporarily suspended. In the future, it is planned to revise the project taking into account local characteristics and the actual needs of the region. Implementation in a more compact format is possible.
