The project is being carried out with the support of the German government and in collaboration with Leibniz University, as well as leading universities in the region. The expedition is led by internationally recognized experts.
As part of this project, a comprehensive study of the country's unique ecosystems is being conducted, including soil analysis of globally recognized forest areas, as well as rice fields in the Uzgen district and the hydrochemical composition of irrigation waters. Scientists are also assessing the impact of traditional agriculture on soil conditions.
One of the important methods used in the research is remote sensing technology, which allows for monitoring changes in the soil cover at the regional level.
It is expected that the conclusions of this project will help update the soil map of Central Asia, contributing to the sustainable development of agriculture and the formation of environmental policy in the region.
