In 2025, 5,500 people left through the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad, while 19,500 found jobs through private employment agencies (PEAs). This was reported by Esenbek Ergeshov, head of the labor migration department of this Center, on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

According to the International Organization for Migration, in 2025, a total of 170,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan left the country.

Esenbek Ergeshov noted: "Our center and private employment agencies helped 25,000 citizens find jobs, which accounts for 15% of the total number of those who left. The remaining 85% leave on their own, often through acquaintances or recommendations. Unfortunately, some of them face difficult life circumstances, find themselves in situations of labor exploitation, slavery, or become victims of human trafficking. Turning to protected channels helps ensure the protection of labor rights and monitor the situation of citizens until their return home."

Ergeshov also added that in recent years there has been a decrease in the number of people leaving for work. "Five years ago, about 1 million Kyrgyz citizens left annually for employment. Many returned due to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in the country and the increase in salaries. While Kyrgyzstan was primarily an exporter of labor before, we have now started to accept foreign workers. Whereas five years ago, only up to 10,000 people were employed through our center and PEAs, this percentage has significantly increased now, as citizens have become more aware of legal employment methods and better protected," he emphasized.

The Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad provides consultations on employment issues and conducts pre-departure training, including information on the legislation of the destination country, culture, customs, and rules of conduct.
