During the international forum Tashkent Water Week 2026, held in the capital of Uzbekistan, it was emphasized that Russia is actively collaborating with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on water resource management issues, despite the absence of common transboundary rivers. The Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, Maxim Korolkov, made a corresponding statement.

The Russian Federation regularly organizes joint events and exchanges experiences, participating in more than 50 working groups that convene each year to discuss key areas. This approach promotes the implementation of modern technologies and the development of sustainable solutions for the rational use of water resources.

The main theme of the forum is "Technologies and Innovations in Water Resource Management, Central Asia, and the Global Water Cycle." The organizers, which include the government of Uzbekistan, receive support from participants from 19 countries, including Russia, China, Germany, and France. The forum's program includes 16 sessions featuring 80 speakers and over 1,200 delegates.

The forum creates a platform for interaction among representatives of government, business, and the scientific community, facilitating the implementation of innovative developments in water resource management practices.
