The banks of the Chu River are being eroded: the Ministry of Emergency Situations intensifies efforts following the minister's visit

Recently, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanatbek Chynbaev, along with the presidential representative in the Chui region, conducted an inspection of the river Chu's shoreline areas that are suffering from erosion, according to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.



During the visit, the minister instructed the relevant services to intensify work on strengthening the banks. He noted that timely actions would help protect agricultural lands and reduce threats to the population.

Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that bank reinforcement measures are already being implemented in the most vulnerable areas of the river Chu, particularly in the villages of Nizhne-Chuisk in the Sokuluk district and named after Suimonkul in the Alamidin district. The main goal of these works is to stop erosion and prevent further destruction of the banks.
