37 rural districts out of the planned 40 participated in the competition. The selection was conducted based on a rating system, taking into account a pre-established quota by regions. As a result, 15 territories were chosen to receive grants.
The funding will be directed towards local economic development, support for startups and business expansion, as well as the creation of new jobs, particularly for women, youth, and vulnerable populations.
Each rural district can receive funding of up to 26 million soms.
