The former head of the GSIN has grown the red-listed Aigul in Bishkek
A recent post on social media shared the story of Sheishenbek Baizakov, who previously headed the GSIN, and his remarkable achievement — growing the rare plant Aigul on his plot in Bishkek.

The author of the post noted that the process of cultivating the flower took over a decade. Baizakov grew Aigul from seeds he brought from the Batken region during his service. The plant has been blooming for several consecutive years.

Aigul is considered one of the rarest representatives of the region's flora and is included in the Red Book. In the wild, it can only be found in limited areas, primarily in the Batken region.

Social media users are actively commenting on this unusual story, emphasizing that such initiatives are crucial for the conservation of rare plant species.
