Illegal salaries, inflated travel expenses, and insufficient financial control have been identified
The Accounts Chamber conducted an audit of the budget execution for 2024 at the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, as well as in its subordinate organizations.
The results of the inspection showed an inadequate level of control over financial discipline.
The total amount of identified violations amounted to 4 million 416.4 thousand soms, of which 1,234.4 thousand are subject to return. In a previously conducted audit, 462.2 thousand soms were returned to the budget.
The main violations include:
- illegal salary payments — 2,706.3 thousand soms;
- excessive travel expenses — 1,224.2 thousand soms;
- expenses without proper documentation — 485.7 thousand soms.
Procedural violations amounting to 25 million 331.5 thousand soms were also identified, related to non-compliance with regulations in salary calculations, accounting practices, and government procurement.
The audit revealed unaccounted assets, as well as incomplete representation of accounts receivable and payable and exceeding limits on utility expenses.
The audit results were reviewed by the Accounts Chamber Council, which provided instructions for addressing violations, strengthening financial discipline, and improving the efficiency of budgetary resource use.
