Two Nobel Prize Laureates to Participate in the Issyk-Kul Forum

At the upcoming Issyk-Kul International Forum, which will be the 40th anniversary edition, the participation of two outstanding Nobel Prize laureates is expected. This information was reported by Oktayr Kapalbaev, who holds the position of head of the policy development, monitoring, and reform analysis department in the administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

According to Kapalbaev, participation has been confirmed by Chinese writer Mo Yan and biochemist Aziz Sanjar, who holds American and Turkish citizenship.

He also added that, in accordance with the President's instructions, active preparations for this significant event are ongoing.

The main task of the anniversary forum is to preserve cultural heritage, promote its development, and create a platform for constructive discussions at both national and international levels, addressing modern global challenges.

The Issyk-Kul Forum was founded in October 1986 at the initiative of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov and serves as an international non-governmental forum for intellectuals.
