
As of March 26, 2026, 15.7% of the total irrigated land has been processed in the country.
According to the information from the ministry's press service, the spring plowing plan in the republic is 1 million 250 thousand hectares. Currently, 196.3 thousand hectares have been processed, which corresponds to 15.7% of the planned volume. This is 39.9 thousand hectares more compared to the same period last year.
Breakdown by regions:
Batken region — 36.5% of the plan completed (24.5 thousand ha).
Chui region — 25.8% (107.0 thousand ha).
Osh region — 24.2% (43.8 thousand ha).
Jalal-Abad region — 11% of the plan.
Issyk-Kul region — 1.5% of the planned volume.
Talas region — 0.3% of the overall plan.
Naryn region — work has not yet begun.
Sowing of spring grains: it is planned to sow 519.3 thousand ha, with 115.6 thousand ha actually sown (22.3%).
Wheat — 34.6 thousand ha (34.9% of the plan).
Barley — 80.5 thousand ha (32.6% of the planned volume).
Corn — sowing work has not yet begun.
Other agricultural crops:
Potatoes — planned for 66.4 thousand ha, with 2.7 thousand ha sown (4.1%).
Vegetables — 0.1 thousand ha.
Rice — 0.005 thousand ha.
Sugar beet — sowing is mainly taking place in the Chui region: with a plan of 14.5 thousand ha, 0.4 thousand ha has been sown (2.76%).
Thus, the most active work is taking place in the Batken, Chui, and Osh regions, while in the northern and mountainous areas, sowing work is just beginning.
