A new team from Kyrgyzstan, formed this year, managed to take second place in the overall team standings, losing only to the team from Russia.
“This achievement is particularly noteworthy as our team, consisting of newcomers, had to compete against experienced opponents, including masters of sports and multiple world champions. The guys not only showed resilience in tough competition but also gained invaluable experience on the international stage, highlighting the high potential of Kyrgyz athletes in mountain tourism,” the city administration noted.
One of the key outcomes of this competition was the creation of a safe and modernly equipped climbing course in Osh. The established fixed belay points on Mount Kerme-Tuu will allow it to become a permanent training center for tourists, climbers, and rock climbers, as well as a training ground for rescuers and emergency service personnel.
