The trip of Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé to Dubai during his rehabilitation from an ankle injury has sparked heated discussions in the world of French football. Mbappé was excused from participating in the national team's match against Azerbaijan (1:3), and many perceived this as a sign of special treatment for the captain.
However, within the team, such assumptions have been denied. Goalkeeper Brice Samba called the talks about privileges an "artificially created scandal."
Samba noted that no one in the team received any special conditions. He also added that if the coaching staff confirmed that Mbappé was experiencing pain in his ankle, there should be no doubts. The players see nothing unacceptable in their captain's trip and continue to trust him.
