During the match between "Nice" and "Marseille," which took place in the French Ligue 1, the visitors secured a confident victory with a score of 5:1. However, the attention of the spectators was drawn not only by the result but also by the behavior of Mason Greenwood, who scored a brace and celebrated in an extravagant manner.

After Greenwood opened the scoring, he stuck his tongue out at the "Nice" fans, provoking an aggressive reaction from them. Various objects were thrown from the stands, and one of the lighters hit player Emerson Palmieri. The referee had to interrupt the game to calm the spectators down.

There were also clashes on the team benches: coaches and substitute players from both sides exchanged sharp words, resulting in a conflict involving Greenwood, Marseille's head coach Roberto De Zerbi, and former Manchester United player Angel Gomes.

The "Nice" players attempted to contest the goal, claiming that there was a foul on defender Juma Ba before the shot was taken, but the referee stood by his decision.

Despite the chaos that ensued, Greenwood continued to showcase excellent play, bringing his total number of goals in the league to 10, which placed him at the top of the scoring chart. French journalists described his performance as "flawless," noting that he was the key element in this victory.

In one of the interviews before the match, Greenwood mentioned that he uses visualization techniques to maintain calm in tense situations. The forward continues his career in France after the case against him was closed in 2023.
