Sports federations request scholarships for junior winners of the Asian Games

A group of sports federations, including those for jiu-jitsu, judo, pencak silat, and wrestling, has addressed Kiyazbek Moldazhiyev, the head of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture, and Sports, requesting the introduction of state scholarships for young athletes who have shown outstanding results at the Youth Asian Games.

At the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, athletes from Kyrgyzstan, including Ramazan Tyangubera, who took 1st place, as well as Abdusomad Tynchtykbekov and Mukhammed Mukhamedov, who secured 3rd place, demonstrated excellent results.

The Judo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic also reports that at the Youth Games in Bahrain, judokas from Kyrgyzstan won two silver and two bronze medals. In the overall standings, our team placed 7th among 31 participants.

A representative of the Kyrgyzstan team in pencak silat, Temir Bikboev, also secured 2nd place.

The federations emphasize that the introduction of increased scholarships will not only serve as an incentive for athletes but also help strengthen Kyrgyzstan's international image in the field of sports.
