The 14-year-old chess player Bayastan Sydykov has taken a historic step for Kyrgyzstan by becoming the first representative of the country to participate in the prestigious German Chess Bundesliga, as reported by the Kyrgyz Chess Federation.

Competing for the club SC Viernheim, one of the strongest in the league, Bayastan played in two matches:
