Arthur Saparbekov, a skier from Kyrgyzstan, made his debut at the Winter Olympics taking place in Italy.

According to the official website, the competitions in cross-country skiing in the "sprint" category started on February 10, featuring 94 athletes.

Saparbekov competed in the qualifying heat under number 91. He covered the first 800 meters in 2 minutes and 23.8 seconds and finished with a time of 4 minutes and 36.85 seconds, which secured him 94th place in the overall standings.

As a result of the qualification, the top 30 skiers advanced to the quarterfinals, with Norwegian Johannes Høsflot Klæbo emerging as the winner.

Arthur's next start is scheduled for February 13, where he will participate in the 10-kilometer freestyle race.
