




On January 12, a press conference was held in Bishkek dedicated to the international tournament Super 4 Wrestling (S4W). This information was provided by the capital's mayor's office.
During the conference, athletes underwent official weigh-ins in their weight categories and held traditional "stare-downs" with their opponents.
The event was attended by the General Director of USP and the initiator of the Super 4 Wrestling project, Kazimir Bayramukov, the Vice President of the KR Wrestling Federation, Ulan Sultanov, and the Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Policy of the Bishkek mayor's office, Kanybek Zholchubekov.
Ulan Sultanov emphasized that holding an international-level tournament is of significant importance for Kyrgyzstan. He noted that wrestling traditionally occupies an important position among sports disciplines in the country and attracts a large number of spectators.
Kanybek Zholchubekov added that Bishkek always supports the development of sports and is ready to assist in the implementation of major sports initiatives.
Kazimir Bayramukov also noted that Kyrgyzstan has become the first country to host this tournament, thanks to a high level of organization, modern conditions, and active state support for wrestling. He reported that the total prize fund of the tournament exceeds 300,000 US dollars. The Super 4 format includes the participation of four world-class wrestlers in one weight category, competing for the championship belt.
The tournament will take place at the "Zhashtyk" sports arena and will gather the strongest wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia, Japan, the USA, and Bulgaria.
