Ernazar Akmataliev won gold at the ranking tournament in Albania

Kyrgyz wrestler Ernazar Akmataliev won at the ranking tournament in freestyle wrestling held in Albania.

He competed in the weight category up to 70 kg, starting his journey from the 1/8 finals.

In his first match, the Kyrgyz faced the current European champion from Russia (in the category up to 65 kg) and won, after which he defeated a wrestler from Moldova in the next round.

To reach the finals, Akmataliev battled a representative from Kazakhstan, managing to clinch victory in the last seconds with a 4-point throw.

In the final match, the Kyrgyz faced an athlete from the USA and won by a narrow margin — 3:2.

Thus, Akmataliev took first place and earned a gold medal.

The bronze medal in the same category was awarded to Zalkarbek Tabaldiev.

Rustam Kakharo also participated in this weight category. He started from the 1/8 finals but lost to Tabaldiev.
