The recently concluded international freestyle wrestling tournament Yasar Dogu, held in Antalya, saw Kyrgyz wrestler Zalkarbek Tabaldiev win gold.

Tabaldiev competed in the under 70-kilogram category, starting his journey from the round of 16.

He achieved three consecutive victories over Turkish wrestlers and reached the final, where he faced Islam Dudayev from Albania, the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Paris.

In the decisive match, Zalkarbek won with a score of 7:4, claiming the gold medal and reaffirming his status as the current champion of Kyrgyzstan.

Another representative of Kyrgyzstan, Rustam Kaharov, who also competed in this weight category, won the bronze medal.

It is worth noting that earlier, another Kyrgyz wrestler, Bilol Sharip uulu, won gold in the Yasar Dogu tournament in the under 65-kilogram category.
