
The Championship of the Kyrgyz Republic in freestyle wrestling has concluded in Bishkek at the "Zhashtyk" sports arena. The competitions were part of the national sports calendar.
On the second day of the tournament, key matches took place in the weight categories of 61, 70, 79, 92, and 125 kg, resulting in the determination of winners and prizewinners.
In the 61 kg category, the gold medal was won by Bekzat Almaz uulu from the "Olimp" – "Izabek" club. Silver went to Omurbek Asan uulu (RSK), while the bronze medals were awarded to Yuhan Dokturbek uulu ("Ak-Ilbirs") and Azim Abdykalikov (RSK).
In the 70 kg weight class, the gold was claimed by Zalkarbek Tabaldiev (RSK), with Rustam Kakharo (Nefchi) taking second place, and third places going to Adis Rahat uulu (RS) and Ikram Khajimuradov (Osh city).
The champion in the 79 kg category is Ulukbek Asilbekov from "Taymanbas" – "Izabek". Silver was awarded to Jakshylyk Baytashov (RSK), while the bronze medals went to Baytemir Tuloberdiev (RSK) and Kubat Azizbaev ("Taymanbas").
In the 92 kg weight class, the winner was Yakov Chaplin ("Taymanbas" – "Izabek"), with Bekzat Rahimov (Osh city) taking the silver medal, and the bronze went to Ulukbek Sooronbekov ("Taymanbas" – "Izabek") and Apaz Oskonbaev (SKAF).
In the super heavyweight category of 125 kg, the gold was taken by Arslanbek Turdubekov (RS), with Muzaffar Jappuev (Kant city) in second place, and the bronze medals awarded to Alisalam Erkin uulu ("Olimp" – "Izabek") and Nursultan Arapai uulu (Chui region).
The competitions started on December 24 and gathered the best wrestlers in the country, marking an important step in the selection for the national team of Kyrgyzstan.
