World Boxing Championship 2025: Two Medals for the Kyrgyzstan Team

The 2025 World Boxing Championship concluded in Dubai, gathering 428 boxers from 109 countries around the world.

The Kyrgyzstan national team, consisting of 12 athletes under the guidance of head coach Daniyar Tologon uulu, won two medals: silver in the 63.5 kg weight class was earned by Omar Livaza, and bronze in the 71 kg category was claimed by Ikhtiyar Nishonov.

In the team standings, the Russian team took first place, winning 13 medals: 7 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze, as well as receiving $2.925 million in prize money. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan secured second and third places, respectively.

The record prize pool of the championship amounted to $8.32 million. Champions received $300,000 each, silver medalists $150,000 each, and bronze medalists $75,000 each.
