Omar Livaza — the first Kyrgyzstani in history to reach the World Championship final

Kyrgyzstani Omar Livaza has reached the final of the World Boxing Championship, which is taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

The athlete competes in the category up to 63.5 kg and began his journey in the tournament from the Round of 16.

In the first stage, he won against an ethnic Kazakh representing Uzbekistan, followed by three successful bouts against boxers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Zambia.

Now, Livaza is preparing for the final match, which will take place on December 13, where his opponent will be Russian boxer Ilya Popov.

Thus, Omar Livaza has become the first Kyrgyzstani in history to reach the final of the World Boxing Championship.
