Kyrgyz boxer Omar Livaza has successfully reached the semifinals of the world championship taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

The tournament, organized under the auspices of the IBA, is currently being held in Dubai.

Livaza competes in the weight category up to 63.5 kg and began his journey from the 1/16 finals.

In the first round, he achieved a convincing victory over the Uzbek athlete, and then in the 1/8 finals, he managed to defeat the Armenian boxer.

On the night of December 11, the Kyrgyz athlete entered the ring to face a boxer from Azerbaijan in a match that determined the semifinal participant.

After three rounds, the judges awarded the decision in favor of Livaza with a score of 4:1.

He will now meet in the semifinals with a representative from Zambia, who received the top seed in this tournament. This fight will take place on December 11.
