The head of the International Boxing Association addressed the governments of Kyrgyzstan and the UAE with a request to resolve visa issues for Kyrgyz boxers

In its statement, the Kremlin expressed hope for a swift resolution of the visa issues, emphasizing the importance of Kyrgyz boxers' participation in the tournament. “We eagerly await the Kyrgyz team at the World Championship. Together with the UAE government, we are actively working on visa support for the athletes so they can arrive on time and participate in the competitions. We also hope for assistance from the Kyrgyz government so that the boxers can represent their country with dignity on the international stage,” he added.
Kremlin noted that the IBA strives to provide equal conditions for all teams and make the championship accessible to participants from around the world.

The World Championship will begin on Tuesday and last until December 13, covering 13 weight categories with a total prize pool of $8.32 million. Boxers will receive $300,000 for first place, $150,000 for second, and $75,000 for third, with payments also provided for fifth place — $10,000. The prize pool will be distributed as follows: 50% will go to the boxer, 25% to the coach, and 25% to the national federation.

It was previously reported that ten boxers from the Kyrgyz national team faced issues obtaining visas to the UAE.

“The Boxing Federation of Kyrgyzstan officially announced 13 team members. We provided all necessary documents to the IBA organizers for visa acquisition. Only two athletes and one coach received visas, while the other 10 were denied,” federation representatives stated.

It was also noted that similar problems arose for 46 teams participating in the tournament.

Boxers Omar Livaza (up to 63.5 kg) and Almaz Orozbekov (up to 67 kg), as well as head coach Daniyar Tologonuulu, received visas. However, Anvarzhan Khodzhiev (up to 48 kg), Mirlan Turkbai uulu (up to 51 kg), Sanjay Seydakmatov (up to 54 kg), Ryspek Bektenov (up to 60 kg), Ikhtiyar Nishonov (up to 71 kg), Syrgak Abdyjapar uulu (up to 75 kg), Omurbek Bekzhigit uulu (up to 80 kg), Erkin Adylbek uulu (up to 85 kg), Bakyt Toktosun uulu (up to 92 kg), and Myrzakir Koshaliev (over 92 kg) were unable to obtain visas.
